Are you a skilled mechanic with experience in construction machinery? We are looking for a Plant Mechanic to join our client's team in Carnwath, helping to maintain our expanding fleet of vehicles and construction plant used throughout the UK.
About the Role:
Working from their Carnwath depot, with occasional travel to sites, you'll be part of a dedicated team responsible for the servicing, repair, and inspection of a wide range of plant and vehicles. This includes:
- Telehandlers
- MEWPs
- Mobile cranes
- Trombone and standard lorry trailers
- Various other construction machinery
You'll be ensuring all equipment is maintained in line with manufacturer requirements, keeping our operations running safely and smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular servicing, repairs, and inspections
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Read diagnostic codes and perform timing belt replacements
- Order parts and materials as required
- Work both in the workshop and on-site when needed
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience with plant and construction equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Valid UK driver's licence
- Experience with trailers and electrics/hydraulics an advantage
