Pure Search are partnered with a London based Technology company looking to hire a VAT manager for their growing team, reporting to the Head of Tax.
Responsibilities:
- Providing guidance on complex VAT matters across various transactions and jurisdictions
- Supporting internal teams with VAT implications on business activities
- Engaging in VAT-related aspects of broader business and finance transformation projects
- Contributing expertise during system implementations and policy changes
- Assessing and identifying VAT-related risks in processes and transactions
- Proposing mitigation strategies and process improvements to minimize exposure
- Navigating VAT rules across multiple countries, especially within the EU
- Ensuring cross-border transactions are compliant and tax-efficient
- Providing VAT input during the ERP renewal process in the Colleges Division
- Ensuring correct VAT treatment is built into financial systems and workflows
- Advising on VAT structuring and compliance for shared service centres
- Supporting cost allocation models that optimize tax outcomes
- Reviewing European operations to maximize VAT efficiency
- Implementing structures or processes to reclaim VAT and reduce leakage
- Designing and implementing compliant self-billing arrangements
- Reviewing expense policies to ensure VAT recovery where possible
- Developing and maintaining VAT-related internal controls and compliance frameworks
- Ensuring alignment with broader risk management and governance standards
- Managing a complex and evolving VAT environment across multiple business areas

Requirements:
