Your Role: The Technical Visionary for Our Customers. As a Customer Engineer, you will be the trusted technical advisor for Fortune 500 companies, guiding them on their journey to build flawless digital experiences. You won’t just be responding to requests; you’ll be devising smart engineering solutions that empower our customers to achieve their most ambitious goals using BrowserStack. This role is a unique chance to constantly learn and develop, diving into diverse technologies across programming, security, and networking as needed to solve customer challenges.
A Glimpse of Your Day-to-Day:
- Be the Architect: You will own the customer’s technical evaluation from end-to-end, designing and leading engaging technical sessions that map their architecture and goals to our solutions.
- Solve and Demonstrate: You’ll create and conduct comprehensive solution demonstrations that showcase the immense value of BrowserStack in their unique development workflow.
- Advise and Guide: Act as the primary technical advisor and architect for our prospects, leading everything from technical discovery and RFP responses to providing ongoing architectural guidance.
- Shape Our Product: You’ll be the voice of the customer, capturing crucial feedback and market insights that you’ll relay to our product teams to help steer the future of our platform.
Minimum Requirements: We’re seeking a disciplined, self-starting individual with excellent communication skills who thrives in a dynamic team environment.
Experience: You have some experience in a customer-facing technical role, preferably in the B2B SaaS space, such as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect.
Technical Foundation: You have a solid background in a technical discipline, such as a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, and are deeply familiar with the modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Core Technical Skills: You have hands-on experience with some combination of:
- At least one modern programming language (like Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
- Modern automation frameworks (such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestNG).
- Development tools and IDEs (like Git, IntelliJ IDEA, or Visual Studio).
Preferred Skills: While not required, you’ll stand out if you have experience with:
- Hands-on consulting and client interaction with amazing demo skills.
- Continuous Integration (CI) tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or Azure DevOps.
- A deeper understanding of networking and security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SSL, VPNs, or firewalls).
- Speaking multiple languages: We are actively looking for French and Spanish speaking candidates.
