Are you a purpose-driven technology leader who wants to use innovation to accelerate the energy transition? We’re working with a VC-backed cleantech company at a pivotal scale-up stage. With major funding secured and a product gaining global traction, the business is now hiring a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the evolution of its platform, architecture and technical team. As CTO, you’ll be at the heart of shaping a category-defining climate solution, leading all aspects of technology, product delivery and innovation as the business enters its next phase of growth.
What You’ll Do
- Own the technical vision and architecture, aligning closely with product, commercial and customer teams
- Scale and manage a growing engineering team across geographies
- Drive the development of new features, APIs, integrations and platform enhancements
- Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure across cloud environments
- Partner with the CEO and board to align technology strategy with company goals
- Embed agile delivery, technical excellence and a high-performance engineering culture
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as CTO or Head of Engineering in a climate tech, energy SaaS, or IoT platform business
- Proven background in scaling technology in fast-growth environments (Series A–C+)
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, microservices, DevOps, and platform architecture
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities – able to attract and retain top tech talent
- Mission alignment with sustainability, energy, or decarbonisation
