Your New Company: We are proud to be recruiting a Desktop Claims Adjuster with expertise in Employer’s Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL), and third-party property damage claims to join us in a full-time, remote capacity. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a varied caseload of complex liability and third-party property claims, supporting our valued clients. Your New Role: As a Desktop Claims Adjuster, you'll be responsible for managing a wide range of claims, including workplace incidents, public liability injuries, and third-party property damage claims from first notification through to resolution. You’ll be empowered to drive fair settlements, apply relevant legal principles, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the claim’s lifecycle. This role is fully remote, though occasional travel may be required to attend your company offices for meetings or training (including overnight stays, paid for by the company).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience handling EL/PL and third-party property claims, from FNOL to settlement.
  • Managing a portfolio of Employer’s Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL), and third-party property claims from notification through to settlement, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
  • In-depth understanding of liability law, property and health & safety obligations.
  • Confident negotiating settlements and navigating complex liability issues.
  • Experience with various claims systems and ability to quickly adapt to new environments.
  • Evaluating evidence, reviewing medical and legal documentation, and determining legal liability and fault in various claim scenarios.
  • Applying relevant legislation and industry regulations, including EL/PL protocols, health & safety laws, and public liability frameworks.
  • Negotiating and settling claims with insurers, claimants, legal representatives, and third parties.
  • Communicating technical insurance and legal concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Identifying potential fraud risks and escalating or managing suspected fraudulent activity.
  • Managing claims through pre-litigation and litigation stages, with knowledge of Scottish, English, and Northern Irish jurisdictions being beneficial.
