Location: Hybrid – London office and remote/home

Contract: Freelance (Outside IR35 potential subject to determination)

Duration: 5–6 months full-time

Start Date: ASAP

The Role: This is a critical position where you will take ownership of the change management process, working closely with the main contractor, consultants, and internal teams. Your primary responsibility will be assessing change requests, scrutinising cost and programme information, and preparing clear, accurate, and funder-ready business cases to support submission and approval from the project's investor group. You will act as a key interface between the delivery team and the funders, ensuring all information is correctly structured, technically sound, and commercially justified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and validate change requests and proposals from the main contractor and design consultants.
  • Prepare and structure robust, funder-facing documentation to support change approval submissions.
  • Support the development team with investor reporting and governance requirements.
  • Manage cost intelligence and analysis to support strategic commercial decision-making.
  • Ensure the change management log and associated documentation are maintained and auditable.

About You: You may have come from a Quantity Surveying background but you must have strong investor or funder-facing experience – essential. Experience on major residential or mixed-use schemes (ideally £100m+). Excellent attention to detail with the ability to translate complex technical and commercial data into clear, concise reports. Confident working with stakeholders at all levels including contractors, consultants, developers, and funding partners. Able to work independently and take full ownership of key workstreams within a high-pressure, fast-paced project environment.
