We are delighted to be working with this progressive manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Newcastle in their search for an experienced Assistant Accountant. You will have a positive outlook, be a team player and enjoy working in a varied role. This position has the opportunity to grow as you gain confidence in the role/organisation. Our client will consider those actively studying (support will be provided) or those qualified by experience. THIS POSITION IS FULLY OFFICE BASED. Reporting to the Finance Manager Inputting and processing both sales and purchase invoices Supplier statement reconciliations Posting journals Nominal ledger coding Accruals and prepayments Bank reconciliations including foreign currency and invoice finance accounts Maintenance of fixed asset register Dealing with supplier and general finance queries Assisting in month end accounts production Payment runs Petty cash and expenses Hours 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday Holidays 22 days + bank holidays.
