Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and promote company procedures
- Ensure proper communication strategies, resources, training and competency/evaluation measures are in place for team members to safely deliver their work
- Understand potential safety risks and make sure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate these and comply with industry legislation
- Put in place health and safety improvement measures and strategies
- Ensure business compliance with health and safety policies and strategies, audit compliance in line with legal requirements
- Lead and carry out investigations when required
- Help with implementation of the Behavioural Safety and Safety Culture Change Programme
- Liaise with client representative and supply chain to ensure effective communication on HSQE
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager or Senior Health and Safety Advisor in the rail industry
- NEBOSH
- IEMA
- PTS
- Driving licence and willingness to travel to sites in Northern England and Scotland
