The role
We’re on the hunt for a Senior Laravel Developer who is ready to take ownership, lead development efforts, and help us scale Plannr to the next level. You’ll work alongside other engineers, product designers, and stakeholders to build features that users genuinely love.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and maintaining features in our Laravel-based API platform
- Writing clean, testable, and efficient PHP code
- Creating and consuming REST APIs
- Collaborating with front-end developers and designers to deliver seamless experiences
- Improving application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Conducting code reviews
- Keeping up with Laravel ecosystem updates and sharing knowledge with the team
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of PHP experience, with 3+ years in Laravel
- Strong knowledge of OOP, MVC, and Laravel best practices
- Experience working with MySQL and database optimisation
- Experience with Docker and containerised infrastructure
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and deployment pipelines
- Confident in writing and maintaining tests using Pest
- Clear communicator and team player
Bonus points for
- Experience with Nova, or Laravel Horizon
- Familiarity with VueJS
- Experience working with large datasets
- Previous experience in SaaS or financial services
- Contributions to open-source Laravel packages or communities
