We're working with a highly successful, fast-paced services group to recruit a commercially astute Group Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-entity business during a period of transformation and growth-with strong visibility across the Group and a key role in financial leadership.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you'll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate group-level reporting, managing consolidations, and improving controls and processes across multiple divisions. You'll act as a bridge between Group and the operational finance teams, ensuring consistency, insight, and financial integrity across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and accurate consolidated monthly management accounts
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles at group level
  • Oversee statutory reporting, audit coordination, and technical accounting compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, controls, and processes
  • Work closely with divisional Financial Controllers to ensure alignment and support
  • Play a key role in systems improvements and standardisation across group entities
  • Support the Group FD with board reporting and commercial analysis
  • Mentor and develop finance team members across the group

About You:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience
  • Background in multi-entity, group-level finance roles or senior site/divisional controller roles
  • Excellent understanding of financial control, reporting, and compliance
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to manage detail and see the bigger picture
  • Confident communicator with experience engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Previous experience in services, outsourcing, logistics or similar people-led sectors preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems and process improvement beneficial
