We are seeking a Technical Engineer to join a leading company in the industrial/manufacturing sector. This role is based in Sheffield and focuses on delivering technical solutions and supporting engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical review of sales orders.
  • Pre-purchase technical reviews and/or advice to Key Account Managers.
  • Review and approval of MTC's from suppliers against internal purchase specifications.
  • Processing technical certifications.
  • Entering test and analysis data.
  • Obtain up to date lead times from all test houses used for any required tests.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in production.
  • Creation and implementation of manufacturing process specifications, quality plans and control plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of innovative technical solutions.
  • Support the testing and commissioning of new equipment or processes.

Profile:

  • Solid technical knowledge of the Steel sector.
  • Proven experience in the Technical/Quality.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
