Salary & Package: Circa £35,000 basic + £14,000 annual bonus = £49,000 per annum total

The Company: My client, an award-winning CNC machine and tooling manufacturer, is seeking a senior applications engineer to join their team as a field applications engineer to teach and assist customers with the running, programming and installations of their CNC equipment. The company has a fantastic reputation in the manufacturing industry. They have a renowned training scheme which has resulted in a dedicated team of long-term engineers, so not only would this be a great place to expand your skill set, but it would also allow you to pass on your knowledge to engineers at all levels.
The Role: Your overall objective is to ensure each site you attend is fully trained in all aspects of setting up, programming and the running of the machines. Strong communication is essential as you will be training engineers at all different levels and having to attend multiple different sites weekly. You must be a strong G&M code programmer in order to advise other application engineers on the programmes and you must be fully flexible to work away from home Monday through to Friday. All training on the companies CNC products will be given from day 1 as well as customer training but the knowledge of the programme is essential. This is an exciting role where every day will be different so you must be confident in your ability and keen to pass on your knowledge.
Requirements:
- Several years experience as an applications programmer.
- You must be highly skilled in G&M code programming and feel confident in teaching others!
- You must be a strong communicator, confident in your own ability and be able to manage your own time and workload.
- You must hold a valid UK driving licence.
