M4 Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for our client in Barking. This role is essential to ensuring efficient logistics and the timely transport of goods between depots and distribution centers.

Shift & Duties:

  • Hours: 18:00 - 08:00 (includes a sleep out)
  • Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

Competitive Pay Rates:

  • Weekdays (08:00 - 19:00) - £19.00
  • Weeknights (19:00 - 08:00) - £21.71
  • Overtime - £28.74 after working 40 hours a week
  • Bank Holidays - £35.78

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trunking Operations: Safely complete assigned trunking routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-trip checks, reporting any defects.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including delivery notes and logbooks.
  • Communication: Keep the logistics team updated on delivery progress and any issues.
  • Professionalism: Provide excellent customer service and represent the company positively.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) License
  • Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience
  • No more than 6 points on license
  • Clean DBS check
  • Level D / Cargo Operative training (can be completed online)
  • 5-year employment history for background verification
