A leading global supplier of adhesive and related solutions is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support its manufacturing operations across multiple well-established product brands. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager (Europe), the Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring operational reliability and efficiency by performing preventative, reactive, and diagnostic maintenance on a range of manufacturing equipment and site facilities. This position requires both electrical and mechanical capabilities and a hands-on approach within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective fixes to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
  • Isolate and test machinery in compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent equipment performance.
  • Support other relevant duties as required, in line with the nature of the role.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • City & Guilds qualification in Maintenance Engineering (or related field).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification (required).
  • PAT testing certification.
  • Proven ability to reduce downtime through effective maintenance practices.
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with basic understanding of: PLC, ladder logic, and motor drive systems.
  • Pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuits.
  • Facilities equipment (HVAC, compressors, water chillers, etc.) – desirable but not essential.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Counterbalance forklift experience – preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence – preferred (for occasional van use).
