We are recruiting on behalf of a respected manufacturing business based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, seeking a motivated CAD/Design Engineer to support their design and production teams on a variety of bespoke projects. Key Responsibilities:- Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for manufacturing and fabrication
- Work collaboratively with the engineering, production, and project teams to develop cost-effective, practical designs
- Interpret technical briefs, client specifications, and construction/manufacturing drawings
- Modify existing designs to meet evolving requirements or improve production efficiency
- Ensure design work complies with industry standards and company quality procedures
- Previous experience as a CAD/Design Engineer within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Proficient in using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and construction principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in engineering, design, or a related field
