The Role
Are you a recent graduate or school leaver with excellent Physics laboratory skills, looking to gain experience and develop your skillset? Join the dynamic Physics department of one of Londonβs top day schools and develop your career working alongside our experienced team, assisting with practical work, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of the department.
As a Physics Technician, you will support the delivery of Physics practical lessons and demonstrations, which will include setting up equipment and assisting teachers and students during practical sessions and providing technical advice. You will also provide wider support to other Science departments as needed. This role is term time only plus 5 days.
About you
The post would suit someone with A-level or University level experience of Physics or a Physics-related subject who would like to develop their technical skills or gain experience within an educational setting. No formal experience is required but an understanding of the expectations required at a thriving school such as Wimbledon High School is beneficial. Expertise in practical work in Physics would be an advantage, but not essential.
