This is an exciting temporary opportunity to support the operational planning and delivery of an educational festival through efficient, clear, and collaborative planning and scheduling of all operational aspects!

THE ROLE:

  • Setting up Festival related meetings
  • Supporting the Public Engagement Programme Team in developing production schedules, preparing operational plans, risk assessments, and briefings
  • Providing logistical support
  • Supporting the programming of specific Great Exhibition Road Festival strands such as zones, talks programmes, or workshops
  • Creating event folders with all production paperwork and collating all paperwork
  • Liaising with the internal safety compliance team
  • Producing and circulating briefings in advance
  • Supporting the management of stall-holders on the day
  • Supporting the festival evaluation
  • Raising Purchase Orders, updating budgets, and liaising with the internal finance team, suppliers, and the Production Company
  • Setting suppliers up on the financial system and paying them promptly
  • Providing on-site management
  • Providing communications for the Festival
  • Supporting the coordination of 200+ volunteers

ESSENTIALS:

  • 1-2 years relevant experience
  • Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in relevant areas
  • Experience in planning and delivering all logistical requirements of medium to large scale events for a diverse range of public audiences
