Our client, based in eastern EU, is seeking several Automation/DevOps Engineers to join their Cloud Platform team. This is a high-impact role focused on automating patch management, vulnerability remediation, and enforcing CIS compliance within an on-premise environment.
You will be working on a key project stream (CSVM), helping to shape and streamline infrastructure management processes using Chef for configuration automation. This is a fully remote opportunity with immediate start available (UK, EU remote).
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain Chef Cookbooks for automating patching and compliance activities
- Implement infrastructure automation solutions in either Wintel servers or Linux environments
- Support ongoing vulnerability remediation and CIS compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with cloud and security stakeholders across the platform team
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation
- Proven expertise with Chef (this is non-negotiable)
- Strong experience in Wintel or Linux engineering within enterprise environments
- Experience with Terraform for deploying and managing cloud environments
- Solid understanding of patch management, compliance frameworks, and automation workflows
- Hands-on experience managing and integrating Active Directory within automated or enterprise infrastructure environments
- Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional remote teams
- Exposure to large-scale on-prem and hybrid environments
- Familiarity with modern DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
