About the role as an AM2 Assessor. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, management, and delivery of a professional and commercial AM2 NET Electrical Assessment Centre based within the resources of Guildford College. You will act as the lead of the Centre ensuring targets are being met within a timely manner, including implementation of an effective operational plan to generate a minimum agreed surplus of income. You will plan and arrange candidate bookings, assess candidates' portfolios as required, and be associated with the internal Quality Assurance processes.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Deliver high quality assessment & training in accordance with the requirements of NETMark and record assessment records as required to meet with the awarding organisations' requirements.
  • Ensure the centre meets the current requirements of NET and has resources to operate successfully.

This role is full time, permanent based at Guildford College. Annual salary up to £47,467 per annum (with potential for a hard-to-fill supplement, depending on qualifications and experience).

What do you need to be an AM2 Assessor at Activate Learning? You will have significant experience in Electrical Engineering with the ability to deliver high quality assessment in accordance with the college and industry requirements. AM2 Assessor must hold professional qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 Installing and Commissioning Electrical Systems & Equipment or equivalent
  • City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 and 2 certificates, or equivalent
  • Level 3 Inspection and Test combined
  • JIB Gold Card
  • Registration acceptance to NET as an AM2 assessor (trainee assessor)
  • Assessor award A1/TAQA/CAVA
