Are you a driven, detail-oriented finance professional ready to take ownership of a dynamic finance function? Our client, a well-established local company based in Stamford, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and develop their finance team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful financial reporting.
Location: Stamford
Hours: 38 hours per week

About the Role
As Finance Controller, you'll play a critical role in supporting the leadership team with timely financial insights and robust accounting practices. You'll manage everything from daily transactions to strategic financial planning, and be a key driver of continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all finance processes ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Manage purchase/sales invoices, expenses, credit card entries, and daily banking
- Prepare and present month-end reports including accruals, payroll, VAT returns, and cashflow forecasts
- Provide insightful variance analysis and board-level reporting packs
- Collaborate with external accountants for year-end processes
- Lead on insurance, healthcare, and pension renewals
- Train and manage the finance team
- Attend board and leadership meetings
- Drive ongoing improvements in systems and processes
What We're Looking For

- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with Xero (desirable)
