About the role:
As part of the EV Team, the Technical Surveyor will:
- Be responsible for the surveying and engineering aspects of the costing, proposal and implementation of all EV projects, working in conjunction with internal Drax teams, external partners, DNO’s, TPI’s and customers.
- Interpret customer specification and requirements leading to production of detailed functional design specifications.
- Review and select accurate technology solutions for implementation.
- Carry out technical site surveys to ensure accurate design and pricing of EV installations and ensure that each installation is designed in the optimal way for the client from a cost and efficiency perspective.
- Ensure that all standards, policies and environmental plans are compliant with relevant legislation and met to the highest standards.
- Be able to think outside the core Electrical discipline and integrate a multi-disciplinary approach into coordinated solutions.
Who we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role you’ll ideally have:
- Experience in installation, design or maintenance of EV charging equipment.
- Strong customer facing skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customers to understand their needs and to advise accordingly.
- Experience of working on LV and HV projects alongside site experience (survey/install/setting to work).
- Knowledge of ‘The Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation’ (IET Standards in addition to compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
