As a Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will work on large and complex programmes with wide-ranging technologies that tackle some of the biggest national security challenges. You will join highly Agile, multi-disciplinary teams working in DevOps practices and tools to deliver high-quality software. You’ll be hands-on in aiding and implementing test strategies with a strong understanding of Modern Testing Principles. You’ll have the chance to work on some of the latest and greatest technologies. Our involvement with all engineering disciplines throughout the SDLC places us in a unique position to support the continued sustainment and development of our sovereign defence capabilities. You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the capabilities we supply to our national security and defence customers meet the highest quality standards expected from a world-leading organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work in multiple environments as part of a collaborative and multi-functional team.
  • Deliver Test capability, automated solutions, to support mission-critical solutions.
  • Define and execute test activities independently or within a team.
  • Identify testing solutions, specifically automated solutions, to reduce software time-to-market.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive testable scenarios.

We are looking for:

  • Solid experience of the SDLC, agile methodologies/principles, and DevOps tools/techniques.
  • A proven track record of delivering quality Automated Test solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic engineering environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, planning, and communication skills, with an aptitude to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Self-motivated and able to inspire others in test best practices, focused on quality outcomes.
  • Experience with Test Automation tools/frameworks for various application layers, utilizing techniques such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • ISTQB Certification.

Security clearance: Due to the nature of our projects, you must be a UK national for this clearance type. You must already hold the highest level of UK Government security clearance (DV).
