The opportunity: This person will provide technical, project and systems accounting support across IAG Loyalty’s Group reporting function. This role will focus on ad-hoc financial and technical projects, providing critical support to enhance financial systems, ensure robust accounting practices and support group reporting process. The role will require an in depth understanding of all financial accounting across the IAG Loyalty entities to ensure accurate reporting.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the accounting treatment of customers contracts, including developing models to accurately recognise revenue in line with IFRS 15 requirements.
- Challenge and enhance the financial systems environment, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, data integration or system upgrades.
- Drive the adoption of new tools or technologies to support financial reporting and analysis.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial modelling and analysis to support business decisions or respond to emerging needs.
- Challenge and review the accounting practices of subsidiaries to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with group policies and IFRS standards.
- Provide guidance and support to subsidiary finance teams to address accounting issues or address process improvements.
- Support the Group reporting team in preparing quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including consolidation support, data validation and accounting queries.

- Adaptable and self-motivated individual with ability to manage and prioritise demanding workloads and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
- Experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP) and process automation.
- Systems implementation experience is desirable.
- Proven track record of developing & implementing process improvements.
