The predicted salary is between 34000 - 37000 Β£ per year.

A Materials Engineer has become available with one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Machinery and bespoke systems. As a metallurgical/materials engineer within the business, you will partner with and provide technical guidance to other teams. You will have an ability to gather relevant information, compare and contrast data, identify relationships, and predict and identify failures. Decisions may affect the work group or project team, suppliers, multiple units, and both internal and external customers, and these decisions have significant impact on warranty, total cost of non-quality, customer perception, costs, sales, and the leveraging of technology. You will support manufacturing facilities UK/Europe wide being involved in investigating a wide range of different materials in multiple applications, resolving issues regarding the design or manufacturing, ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.

  • Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
  • Planning and improving testing procedures and operations to make the test more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.
  • Monitoring results, machine and process capabilities and performance reliability.

This position will be fully site-based in Peterborough, 5 days per week.
