We’re supporting a national utility provider that’s rapidly expanding in the New Appointment & Variation (NAV) space. As part of their growth plan, they are now hiring a Water Project Manager to lead the safe and compliant delivery of clean water infrastructure on new residential and commercial developments.
This is a home-based role with flexible scheduling and regular site visits across Southern England. You’ll work with developers, self-lay providers, and technical stakeholders from design through to handover.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of clean water infrastructure in line with Water Regulations and safety standards
- Take ownership of projects passed from business development to delivery
- Ensure alignment with construction programmes and manage snagging to completion
- Attend monthly reviews with the Senior Water Project Manager
- Provide regular project updates and progress reports
- Manage the NAV water process, including Water Adoption Agreements
- Ensure design and installation compliance with water industry regulations
- Review design variations and support regulatory documentation submissions
- Complete Risk Assessments and POWRAs
- Liaise with clients on REG 5, vesting certificates, plot-to-postal, and other regulatory data
- Act as first point of contact for developers, SLPs, ICPs, and contractors
- Validate contractor accreditations (e.g. WIRS)
- Conduct site visits to audit infrastructure installations for compliance
- Attend and document commissioning works
- Manage meter procurement and installation
- Produce regular reports for the internal operations team
- Ensure timely asset handover to the asset management department
- Experience in the clean water industry or utilities infrastructure
- Familiarity with DNOs/IDNOs, NAV framework, and self-lay processes
- Understanding of water regulatory standards and the NAV compliance process
- Knowledge of the water design lifecycle
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
