The Finance Analyst will be responsible for all financial aspects of plant operations including financial forecasting, planning, budgeting, and financial control systems, and will support Plant Management in the operations of the Plant in all ways. The Finance Analyst will have ownership of achieving Plants performance metrics including Revenue, Gross Profit & Margin, Inventory Turns, etc.
JOB DUTIES:
- Providing advice and counsel to plant operating management to ensure the optimum performance of the plant.
- Reviewing and analyzing financial numbers and highlights to Plant Manager to drive plant profitability.
- Developing and implementing systems to control the manufacturing operations costs and maintain systems to monitor product lines customer profitability and variance analysis.
- Preparation and timely submission of month end and quarter close and management reports.
- Review and analysis of financial results and preparation of forecasts and budgets.
- Drive the plant towards compliance of all finance policies and procedures.
- Maintain the inventory and WIP costing system and its use within the estimating and quoting function.
- Monitor and advise plant management with regards to plant performance metrics including revenue, gross margin, inventory turns and DSO; initiate and drive programs to improve performance.
- Conduct all routine procedures and duties associated with the Plant Controller position.
- Identifies and implements programs that control the Plants financial risk, including implementation of programs established by the Division Controller and Corporate guidance.
- Prepares journal entries; maintains and reconciles ledger accounts.
- Collects data, allocates costs and prepares reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly or other operating expenses, ensuring that established procedures are followed.
- Prepares financial statements and variance reports as requested.
- Advising management of major developments or trends affecting productivity/profitability/efficiency.
- Ability to present an analysis of an issue.

- Must be analytical, organized and effectively communicate information and recommendations to Management.
- Must be confident to deal with operational challenges of the manufacturing plant and be a leader in all departmental meetings, representing a finance perspective to the team.

- Microsoft Office experience with expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a B.A. in Accounting or equivalent.
- 10 years of accounting/finance experience with at least 5 or more years of related experience as a Manufacturing Plant Controller.
