Your Impact
As a Senior II Mobile Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing FUSUS real-time crime center capabilities to law enforcement agencies across the globe. With over 200 agencies already using this platform and growing rapidly, your work will directly shape and scale the mobile experience that powers real-time public safety response.
You’ll help define and drive the mobile strategy across both iOS and Android platforms, leading high-impact architectural decisions and mentoring other engineers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical leadership and hands-on development—someone comfortable diving deep into either iOS or Android while engaging across the full mobile stack.
You’ll join a tight-knit, mission-driven team responsible for integrations, real-time data delivery, and intuitive front-line user experiences. The mobile team works closely with backend, platform, and product to deliver high-performing, resilient applications that operators and analysts depend on in critical moments.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of high-performance native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
- Partner with iOS and Android sub-teams to align on architecture, code standards, and shared patterns.
- Drive the mobile technical strategy, contributing across both platforms and advising on cross-platform approaches as needed.
- Engage in deep technical discussions with engineers and guide platform evolution across teams.
- Own feature delivery from discovery to deployment, ensuring quality, performance, and usability.
- Mentor and support growth of other engineers, through code review, pairing, and architectural guidance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, product, and UX to deliver seamless mobile-first experiences for public safety.
- Help evaluate and incorporate multi-platform frameworks and tooling where beneficial (e.g., Kotlin Multiplatform, Flutter).
What You Bring
- 8–12 years of professional software engineering experience, including native mobile development.
- Deep experience with either iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java), with working knowledge of the other.
- Proven ability to lead architecture discussions and contribute across large-scale mobile systems.
- Familiarity with app deployment processes, mobile CI/CD, and telemetry/observability in mobile environments.
- Strong understanding of mobile app UX principles, performance optimization, and offline-first strategies.
- Experience mentoring engineers and shaping engineering culture and standards.
- A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and a bias for action.
- Bonus: Experience with cross-platform frameworks, video streaming/encoding, or working on real-time systems.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- You’ll build software that helps first responders save lives and respond faster in real time.
- You’ll work on a product with a mission and user impact that’s tangible and globally scaled.
