Optimus Plus, a PD&MS Group company, are now looking for a Senior Structural Integrity Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen on a full-time, flexible hybrid working, employee basis.

For this role, we are seeking candidates who have a full understanding of the structural integrity management of offshore structures in the oil and gas sector and be able to utilise hand calculations and analyses software in support of our clients’ assets. Technical report writing and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with project team members is a prerequisite to this role.
Key Duties:
- Identify the scope of work required
- Input to project plans and schedules
- Identify areas of concern during any project or study
- Produce cost-effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
- Undertake Surveys, both onshore and offshore
- Supervise the time of others

About You
Experience / Competence
We are seeking candidates with significant Offshore Structural Engineering experience with a background in brownfield work and asset integrity management, full familiarity with API, AISC, DNV and ISO Codes. Experience with Inplace and spectral fatigue analysis using SESAM is highly desirable. The ideal candidate is expected to have a full understanding of the structural integrity management of offshore structures in the oil and gas sector and be able to utilise hand calculations and analyses software in support of our clients’ assets. Technical report writing and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with project team members is a prerequisite to this role.
Qualifications
- BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline
- Chartered Engineer status preferred
- Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & MIST (Preferred)

- Essential: SESAM GeniE, MS Office
- Desirable: STAAD Pro, USFOS, ABAQUS & Mathcad
