BaxterStorey has an exciting new venue opening in one of Peterborough's most iconic, historic spaces this year and is looking for a Barista to join the team. As a Barista for BaxterStorey, you will support the Cafe Manager in the daily operations of the venue, deliver excellent service to our guests, and take ownership of the coffee bar independently. The role will be based at Peterborough Cathedral, and BaxterStorey is proud to work in this magnificent historic building.

Job Description:
The Barista will oversee the bar area, support the team to deliver exceptional service, and maintain drinks and service standards while driving sales through upselling and encouraging repeat visits.
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Working 5 days over 7.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other drinks
- Operate coffee machines and grinders proficiently
- Set up the coffee bar and manage stock levels
- Take payments accurately
- Manage stock rotation, temperature checks, and allergens
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines and proper food handling standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in coffee preparation and service
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Efficient food preparation skills
- Basic math skills for transactions and inventory
- Excellent time management skills
