Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role
Location: Allied Bakeries London
Hours: 4 On 4 Off rotating shift pattern. 6am – 18:00pm
Kingsmill Bread, a trusted name in quality baking, is looking for a skilled and reliable Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Mechanic to join our dedicated transport team. You'll be responsible for maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles that help bring fresh bread to homes and businesses across the region.
Key Accountabilities Your Role:
- Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on our HGV fleet
- Diagnose faults and perform preventative maintenance
- Ensure all vehicles meet DVSA safety standards
- Support MOT preparation and compliance checks
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
The Right Person What You Bring
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Experience working with commercial vehicles or HGVs
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- A full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 is a bonus)
- Demonstrate a 'Safety First' Approach at all times.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude
