The predicted salary is between 15815 - 19555 £ per year.

Hours of Work: 25 hours per week are required, term time only. This would ideally be 5.5 hours per day Monday to Thursday (9.00am - 2.30pm) and then the 3 remaining hours on Friday morning for admin/orders. Negotiable for 4 days per week, daily hours increased to 6.25 hours per day Monday to Thursday.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Grade 3 - £26,409 - £32,654 FTE (£15,815.43 - £19,555.34 actual)

Due to our school expansion and the opening of our satellite 6th Form centre we are looking to appoint an experienced and organised Catering Supervisor to be responsible for our 6th Form site, New Horizons. The successful candidate will lead on all aspects of food delivery to students and ideally be qualified in Food Hygiene to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Catering Supervisor – Key Responsibilities
  • In consultation with the Head of 6th Form, be responsible for the preparation of weekly menus, catering for all students, in line with the food and drink policy.
  • To ensure that all students with allergies are catered for in compliance with our allergies policy as well as maintaining the correct documentation.
  • To maintain adequate storage of food in appropriate storage conditions.
  • To ensure the kitchen and all kitchen equipment is kept clean and tidy.
  • To observe high standards of food hygiene during the preparation, cooking and serving of all foods.
  • Maintain food safety documentation on a daily basis to comply with food safety management procedures and food hygiene regulations.
  • To promote healthy eating with the students and staff.
  • To maintain high standards of personal hygiene and personal appearance in accordance with the school’s hygiene policy.

There will be a probationary period of 6 months.
