Role Overview

As an Ocean Freight Import Co-Ordinator, you will work with around 100 colleagues throughout the UK to ensure customer requirements are met and documents are completed efficiently, delivering high quality and compliant processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service through DGF's 10 Customer Commitments.
  • Support and drive the Company’s overall Strategy.
  • Manage end-to-end process for OFR Import and designated customers.
  • Communicate with customers to meet their requirements.
  • Administer and manage operational data, including financial review.
  • Support and monitor objectives set by Station Manager regarding profitability maximisation, volume growth and service quality.
  • Create and maintain good relationships with customers and service providers.
  • Support Sales in interaction with key customers.
  • Ensure compliance with varying countries' requirements.
  • Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven imports experience with knowledge of Customer Service & Ocean Freight processes.
  • Ability to identify and meet customer service needs professionally.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve KPIs.
  • Results driven with good attention to detail.
  • Good written and spoken English and excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to prioritise and perform under pressure.
  • Good commercial attitude.
  • A level education or broad GCSE level education.
