Role Overview
As an Ocean Freight Import Co-Ordinator, you will work with around 100 colleagues throughout the UK to ensure customer requirements are met and documents are completed efficiently, delivering high quality and compliant processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service through DGF's 10 Customer Commitments.
- Support and drive the Company’s overall Strategy.
- Manage end-to-end process for OFR Import and designated customers.
- Communicate with customers to meet their requirements.
- Administer and manage operational data, including financial review.
- Support and monitor objectives set by Station Manager regarding profitability maximisation, volume growth and service quality.
- Create and maintain good relationships with customers and service providers.
- Support Sales in interaction with key customers.
- Ensure compliance with varying countries' requirements.
- Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven imports experience with knowledge of Customer Service & Ocean Freight processes.
- Ability to identify and meet customer service needs professionally.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve KPIs.
- Results driven with good attention to detail.
- Good written and spoken English and excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to prioritise and perform under pressure.
- Good commercial attitude.
- A level education or broad GCSE level education.
