About The Role

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you'll lead asset reliability initiatives, focusing on eliminating losses, reducing costs, and ensuring maximum machine availability for production. You will embed proactive maintenance practices, drive data-driven decision-making, and enhance asset performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of condition-based maintenance (CBM) programs across the factory.
  • Standardise maintenance planning and scheduling processes to maximize resource utilisation and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Conduct loss analysis to drive improvements in equipment reliability and OEE.
  • Perform FMECA, RCA, Criticality Assessment, and RCM to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Optimise equipment PM schedules to ensure effective maintenance plans.
  • Collaborate with site teams on reliability priorities, integrating CBM insights into maintenance schedules.
  • Provide technical leadership and training to site teams in reliability tools.
  • Present progress reports and lead A3 improvement projects.
  • Support the management of the department budget.

What are the key ingredients for the role?

  • BEng/MSc Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Food safety/Hygiene qualification (e.g., IOSH).
  • Qualifications in Continuous Improvement such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Understanding of Bakery processing equipment with hands-on experience in reliability engineering principles.
  • Expertise in CBM technologies including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Strong skills in engineering planning and scheduling processes.
