We are working with a reputable civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Redditch, currently looking to appoint an experienced Transport Manager to take full responsibility for their fleet operations. This is a vital role overseeing a diverse fleet that includes low loaders, vac ex units, HGVs, tipper wagons, and vans. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be named (or eligible to be named) on the company’s O Licence.
Key Responsibilities:- Full responsibility for legal and operational compliance across the company fleet.
- Managing and maintaining fleet systems including Excel and Reveal Pro.
- Coordinating inspections, servicing, and repair schedules to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and compliance.
- Liaising with local garages and suppliers for maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Monitoring vehicle usage and performance through trackers and telematics.
- Conducting regular vehicle checks and audits.
- Producing and maintaining detailed reports on compliance, service history, and downtime.
- Proven experience as a Transport Manager in the construction or logistics industry.
- In-depth knowledge of HGV compliance, including FORs, tacho rules, and vehicle maintenance standards.
- O Licence holder (or eligibility to be named on the licence).
