Potentia Search are partnered with an award winning membrane technology company involved in the treatment of water, the reuse of wastewater and the production of potable water. They seek to hire a talented Regional Sales Manager to grow their presence in the UK & Ireland.
The Regional Sales Manager actively contributes to achieving the sales targets set by the Sales Director. The role involves intensive customer contact with new and existing customers in the Water Business, selling membrane modules to OEMs, municipal and industrial customers. Generation of new leads as well as maintaining a strong network to the stakeholders of the water business in the region is also an important part.
How can you contribute?
The purpose of the role is to manage and expand existing sales activities, finding new leads and develop lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders within the water segment. The Sales Manager UK & Ireland reports to the Sales Director Northern, Western and Eastern Europe. The job includes the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains strong relationships based on mutual trust, respect and co-operation with direct clients in the region.
- Prepares and submits proposals and quotations to customers.
- Coordinates sales activities and communicates customer requirements with other departments such as order engineering management, marketing, production, logistics and operations.
- Attends trade fairs and helps select and prepare samples and promotional materials.
- Maximizing sales and gross margin of standard products and components.
- Negotiating and closing sales contracts.
- Generating sales opportunities and leads.
- Supports Engineers in communicating with customers during the delivery and implementation phases of a project.
- Provides market feedback to the Sales Team on industry developments, customers, competitors and identifies trends and related requirements.
- Ensures systematic follow-up of offers issued and records them in the CRM system (Salesforce).
Who are you?
- BSc. or MSc. in a technical or combined technical/commercial field of study.
- Work experience in a sales-driven role.
- Experience in water business, especially membrane technology is desirable.
- Experience in using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales.
- Strong time management skills due to the complex nature of the role.
- Fluency in English language in word and writing, proficiency in another foreign language is desirable.
- Travel is necessary for proper execution of the role and customer contact on site.
