Reporting directly to your General Manager, the Operations Manager oversees, manages, and monitors the daily activities of the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 45-hour week.

Salary: £38,250 per annum.

Key Duties of an Operations Manager:

  • Oversee, manage, and monitor daily team activities.
  • Develop, train, and support your team to meet high standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including WTD and SSWs.
  • Maintain awareness of responsibilities related to health and safety, data protection, and other policies.
  • Analyze departmental operations to identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
  • Make decisions in the best interests of the company and clients; escalate issues when necessary.
  • Delegate effectively by leveraging team members' strengths.
  • Collaborate with other teams to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Lead by example.
  • Participate in and organize relevant training for team development.
  • Work with the General Manager to define departmental values and mission.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Promote a positive company culture encouraging high morale and performance.
  • Oversee reporting, planning, and target setting on various timeframes.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Identify and address operational problems and opportunities.
  • Encourage open communication between employees and management.
  • Foster continuous business improvement.
  • Manage daily operations of the team.
  • Stay updated on industry technological changes and share knowledge.
  • Minimize operational expenditure where possible.
  • Advise on operational issues and stay informed on industry developments.
