We have a fantastic opportunity for a Modernisation Project Manager to join the team on a full-time, two-year fixed-term basis. This role is remote with regular travel.

As the Modernisation Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving and delivering the Campus Modernisation Programme across the UK region. Reporting directly to the Modernisation Programme Manager, you should demonstrate strong management and leadership skills, be qualified, and have a solid background in project delivery of high-value, multi-disciplined CAT A and B fit-outs. You will integrate all mechanical, electrical, and building services asset data and equipment to drive initiatives from the initial concept and design stage through to operational handover. You will be responsible for the strategic technical planning and management of all critical building assets, lifecycles, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Manage daily tasks and activities to ensure project requirements are met within timescales, budget, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate project records aligned with processes, regulations, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor spends, provide insights on efficiencies, risks, and variations.
  • Manage supplier performance and ensure safe, compliant delivery.
  • Hold weekly project meetings and produce progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with site colleagues, support functions, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards.
  • Manage contractors and consultants as needed.
  • Identify risks and issues proactively, with mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain transparent, auditable project documentation.

Technical

  • Develop and lead UK Mechanical, Electrical, and building services design specifications.
  • Create a standardisation plan supported by design specifications.
  • Develop lifecycle improvement plans and maintenance schedules for reliability, cost, and energy efficiency.
  • Conduct routine quality checks on contractor delivery.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and meet ESOS commitments.
