About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Integrations & Extend Manager to join the Workday Technical team. As the subject matter expert for Workday integrations, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of integrations between Workday and a range of internal and external systems. You will play a key role in driving integration strategy and best practices across the HR technology ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Workday integrations, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Act as the go-to Workday Integrations specialist within the business being a critical member of the team with the over-arching view of the integrations landscape.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.
- Develop and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and other Workday tools.
- Maintain existing Extend Applications whilst scoping out further area for utilisation of Workday Extend, leading in Design sessions & acting as the Workday Extend Lead and expert.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and provide ongoing technical support and optimisation.
- Maintain integration documentation and follow internal change management and security protocols.
- Serve as the Workday integration SME, mentoring junior team members and supporting integration-related governance.
- Manage vendor relationships for third-party platforms requiring integration with Workday.
- Stay current with Workday updates, releases, and new integration capabilities.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience (3+ years) working on Workday integrations in a lead or senior role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Have built at least 2 Workday Extend bespoke custom applications from design to launch.
- The ability to act as the go-to Workday Integrations specialist within the business providing both technical and strategic expertise.
- Solid understanding of HCM and Payroll modules within Workday.
- The ability to champion and promote best practice and increase Workday Technical Knowledge and capability across a Global Workday landscape.
- Experience managing complex integration landscapes across global environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Workday certification(s) in Integration, Studio and Extend highly desirable.
