The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Working alongside members of the Building Services Team, to provide support and guidance for all technical matters associated with the Building Services department, including planned and reactive maintenance, small/medium sized CAPEX projects and asset lifecycle strategies that are the responsibility of Building Services.

The Engineering Supervisor role will provide professional and technical guidance in accordance with legislative and regulatory technical standards, policies and procedures. Investigate faults, identify root causes and prepare accurate and timely reports on plant and equipment failures and communicate findings and present solutions to relevant stakeholders.

Assisting the Head of Building Services to deliver the Airports strategies and objectives.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Act as technical advice to the Building Services team
  • Maintain, drive, supervise and implement robust technical standards, systems and processes
  • Coordinating with team members, stakeholders, contractors and customers to plan and deliver works
  • Take responsibility of Quality Assurance for engineering and facilities management deliverables
  • Implement and drive technical standards to maintain quality and consistency across the department
  • Conducting performance reviews and giving feedback
  • Provide direction and support to ensure compliance with relevant legislative specifications and standards
  • Improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste
  • Conduct regular technical inspections and audits of facilities and assets, record findings and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the building services teams
  • Develop and deliver training programs with building services TACM (Training and Compliance Manager) aimed at enhancing the skills of the engineering team
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure that all systems/assets are operationally effective, compliant with safety standards, and meet the highest quality assurance benchmarks
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in relation to the delivery of an asset management strategy
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Management Team
Essential Requirements:
  • City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ 3 in Engineering maintenance related subject
  • 18th Edition, IEE wiring regulations qualified
  • Full Driving license
  • Experienced in managing people and with excellent communication skills
  • A strong negotiator & influencer
  • Ability to foster strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels
  • Experience in working within a structured safe system at work
  • Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of UK Health and Safety Legislation and an ability to carry out risk assessments and propose actions for risk control/management
  • Knowledge/experience of Safety Management Systems
  • Organised and methodical
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Business Change experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate familiarity with Statutory & HSE / CDM compliance
Desirable Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in Facilities Management environment
  • Health and Safety Qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in Facilities Management
  • Knowledge/experience of Quality Management Systems
  • Knowledge of airside risks, hazards, control measures and mitigations.
