The post holder will provide a customer-facing role in the delivery of the overall fitness product at Queen's Sport Gym locations at the PEC and BT1 City Centre Gym. Key to this role is the ability to inspire and motivate members to engage in fitness and physical activity through quality instruction and ongoing programmes and events to motivate them to maintain an exercise regime.

Queen's Sport is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Fitness Instructor. This is an exciting opportunity to join the wider Fitness Team at Queen's Sport in delivering a world-class service to students, members, and the wider community, focusing on improving health and wellbeing. The role emphasizes inspiring and motivating members to engage in fitness and physical activity through quality instruction and ongoing programmes and events.

The successful candidate will have:

  • NVQ Level II or equivalent award in fitness instructing (Gym) or recognized by CIMSPA.
  • Relevant qualification to teach kettlebells and indoor cycling classes.
  • Recent experience working within a busy fitness complex, including free weights.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Fitness, including induction systems, fitness testing, and personal exercise programmes.
  • Practical teaching experience in kettlebells and indoor cycling.

Fixed-term contracts are available for the stated period and may be renewed or made permanent depending on funding availability.
