Meraki Talent is recruiting for a long-standing client in the heart of Edinburgh city centre for the position of Business Advisory/Business Services Manager.

About the Firm:

Our client is a prestigious independent chartered accountancy firm in Edinburgh, blending traditional values with modern, technology-driven solutions. Based in the city’s vibrant financial hub, their team provides tailored services to a diverse client base (£10k-£25m turnover, including limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and LLPs). Due to unprecedented growth, our client seeks an ambitious Business Services Manager to manage a portfolio of 150 clients and lead a team.

The Role:

As Business Services Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of clients, lead a team of accountants and support the current Partner. This role offers a platform to drive innovation, shape service delivery and prepare for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow relationships with clients, delivering tailored services.
  • Oversee accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT, and bookkeeping, ensuring compliance.
  • Provide strategic financial advice, including tax planning and growth strategies.
  • Mentor and supervise staff, fostering their development.
  • Support business development and client onboarding.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives via committees.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • ACCA, ICAS, or equivalent (qualified or part-qualified) with UK accountancy practice experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations for small businesses.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Team management experience preferred but not essential.
  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Proactive, commercially minded and aligned with values of collaboration, integrity, and excellence.
