The Role
We’re looking for mid-weight copywriter to create high-quality UX and functional copy. You will be confident taking complex information and presenting it concisely and clearly. You’ll also have an innate understanding of digital engagement usability.
Your responsibilities:
- Produce B2C user interface copy for the highly regulated consumer in financial services.
- Analyse complex product information to develop communications for the everyday consumer.
- Proofread existing copy, paying particular attention to consistency and brand tone of voice.
- Work closely with UX, design and tech teams to improve the content creation and delivery process.
- Develop outstanding and high-quality content to support superior and personalised customer solutions, enhance user engagement and retention, as well as improve the promotion of digital solutions in the most efficient way.
- Take ownership, manage, and deliver to deadlines of specific content, often across multiple projects/assignments.
- Amend, revise or re-develop copy or content in response to the feedback from the clients, stakeholders, and team.
- Sub-edit content written by colleagues and stakeholders.
- Apply Client/TCS tone of voice, house style, content strategy, and customer experience principles and best practice.
- Accept and provide constructive feedback while understanding the constraints of the business making sure the content meets the high brand standards.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- UX writing experience is key - knowing how to create concise, clear, useful, effective and consistent copy – working from background information presented.
- Good command of the English language, grammar, and colloquialisms.
- Excellent skills in writing copy for digital experiences offered to customers in the UK is preferable.
- Experience with copy standards and tone of voice.
- Good copywriting skills and experience of working closely with a UX team and experience of writing functional copy.
- Analytical capabilities and understanding of the requirements process, ideally with experience referencing user stories.
- Exceptional communication skills and confidence in explaining their work.
- Awareness of agile methodology.
- Adaptability and ability to deliver in a dynamic environment where things do not always go to plan.
- Exposure to content strategy and understanding of where copy fits into the software design process.
- Travel to London/Peterborough for workshops as required.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- Retirement/Pension industry knowledge.
- Good understanding of TPR & FCA Regulations.
