Remedy Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Greenwich. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, ideal for someone with experience supporting children and young people with complex needs in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing 1:1 and group-based classroom support for students with severe autism and other complex needs
- Assisting with wheelchair hoisting and mobility support
- Supporting students with personal care, including toileting and hygiene
- Managing and de-escalating challenging or harmful behaviours in line with school policies
- Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals to support student progress and wellbeing
- Experience working in a SEN setting or with individuals with disabilities (Essential)
- Manual Handling and Hoist Training (or willingness to be trained)
- Calm, patient and resilient personality
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Team player with a proactive and empathetic approach
