Selby Jennings is exclusively partnering with a leading UK-based investment manager with over £2bn in assets under management to appoint an Investor Relations Director. This is a senior leadership role, ideal for a highly organised and experienced professional who can spearhead all investor relations functions with a strong focus on project management, process execution, and team leadership. This is not a sales or fundraising-led role. While experience supporting fundraises is beneficial, the priority is on operational excellence, delivery, and strategic coordination across investor-facing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage a small, high-performing Investor Relations team. Provide day-to-day oversight, coaching, and accountability. Foster a collaborative, delivery-focused culture.
- Project Management & Process: Own the planning and execution of investor-related projects, particularly fundraise launches. Drive timelines, workflows, and cross-functional coordination to ensure deadlines are met. Continuously improve internal processes and reporting frameworks.
- Collateral & Communications: Define and uphold high standards for investor-facing materials (e.g., pitch decks, factsheets, reports). Ensure consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment across all communications. Work closely with marketing, compliance, and investment teams to deliver best-in-class outputs.
- Fundraise Execution: Lead the operational side of fundraise launches, from planning through to delivery. Understand the steps required to build momentum and engagement throughout a campaign. Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
- Investor Targeting & Strategy: Suggest investor targets using internal knowledge, market research, and external databases. While deep personal investor relationships are not essential, a strategic understanding of the investor landscape is important. Support the development of outreach strategies and engagement plans.
