The predicted salary is between 25000 - 36000 Β£ per year.
To ensure Co-operatives and community associations maximise income through the effective collection of rent, service charges and other income owed to it by customers working supportively and proactively with the aim to sustain tenancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out home visits or virtual face-to-face contact in connection with income recovery or arrears prevention.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits and provide information and signpost tenants to relevant agencies.
- Work alongside the Income Services Manager and the Co-operative Service Manager and other relevant officers across the service to coordinate a response to the Government's Welfare Reform agenda ensuring policies and procedures are amended to reflect legislative and regulatory changes and effective systems are created to collect relevant data and measure the impact of welfare reform.
- Liaise with Housing Benefit departments and the Department of Work and Pensions to encourage prompt and accurate payment of claims, and speedy resolution of problems, access UC Portal and verify claims.
- Work in partnership with external agencies to ensure the co-operatives and community association is delivering a responsive service and maximising income recovery.

- Experience of working in a social housing environment and income recovery.
- Computer literate understanding of spreadsheets and ability to use various software packages.
- A working knowledge of legislation and the regulatory requirements relevant to the department.
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
