Would you like to make a difference and work for a charity? Novalis Trust is a charity that supports children and adults with Neurodevelopmental Difficulties and other learning needs. The Senior Adult Support Worker role is based at Paradise House, a residential home for people aged 18-65.

Responsibilities for this role:

  • Working collaboratively and leading a small team of staff supporting and enabling the people who live at Paradise House to live their best lives.
  • Supporting and embedding our vision and values at Paradise House.
  • Establishing key support relationships with the people living at Paradise House.
  • Giving them the care, guidance and support they need to thrive.
  • Fun and laughter whilst taking part in many different activities for leisure and skills development.

Benefits for this role include:

  • Excellent training opportunities including a Level 4 Certificate in Trauma Informed Care.
  • From £13.13 per hour and £79 sleep in rate which equates to an average salary of £36,891.92 per year.
  • Fixed 2-week rota of 42 hours and 2 sleep in shifts per week.
  • Staff supported in a community setting with good team relationships.
  • Equivalent of 5.6 weeks annual leave per year pro rata.

Requirements for this role are:

  • Some experience leading people who work with people in a person-centered way is desirable but not essential.
  • An ability to adapt your approach to individual needs and come up with creative solutions to overcome challenges will also help.
  • Kind, caring, adaptable and reliable.
