As a not-for-profit housing association, we provide homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester. We build affordable new homes, work with partners to reduce homelessness and support people to reach their potential. This role will help us to do this by providing a professional labouring service that delivers an excellent customer experience. Adhering to health and safety regulations and organisational policies and procedures, providing a fantastic repairs service and making sure our homes are well maintained for customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out all aspects of labouring works on our customers' homes
- Assisting trades teams in all duties of repairs to customers' homes
- Delivering an excellent customer service
- Leaving customers' homes clean and safe and disposing of waste in line with company policy
- Reporting any potential repairs that you notice in customers' homes
- Ordering parts, materials and following up work as required
- Carrying out safety checks on tools, plant and equipment
We need people who have:
- Sound building and construction knowledge
- Experience of undertaking / assisting with repair work and associated multitasking activities inside and externally on customers' homes
- Experience of undertaking general labouring duties, roofing experience desirable however not essential as full training will be provided.
- General building maintenance repair knowledge
- Full valid driving licence
- CSCS Card also desirable
