Position: Urology Nurse Support Worker
Service Overview: The Urology service has led the way in delivering innovative and excellent care, providing a wide range of diagnostic and treatment options. The service has been pivotal in implementing new treatments for benign prostate issues, enabling NHS Fife to expand this service nationally across Scotland, ensuring inclusivity.
Role Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our nursing team, committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, capable of working safely and efficiently. The position offers either a permanent or a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Team Collaboration: Our nursing team works closely with Urology Consultants and Clinical Nurse Specialists to promote evidence-based patient care. The role involves supporting clinicians with diagnostics and assessments, working autonomously under supervision, and developing skills to deliver nurse-led clinics.
Candidate Profile: Candidates should be caring, compassionate, and motivated, with an interest in urological nursing. Education requirements include SVQII, with a goal to achieve SVQIII or equivalent. Previous experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, preferably in urology or outpatient settings, is desirable but training can be provided.
Development Opportunities: This role offers the chance to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge. You should be interested in further progression and capable of working within a multidisciplinary team, managing workload priorities effectively. There is also an opportunity to rotate into Ward 54 (Urology) for additional acute urological experience.
