Nine Twenty are working with a leading steel manufacturer to find an Estimator to join their growing team in Coatbridge.
As Estimator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Calculate material requirements, labor hours, and fabrication processes to generate accurate estimates.
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure estimates align with capabilities and timelines.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals in line with client requirements and company margins.
- Monitor cost variations and support project budgeting and change management as needed.
Requirements
- Light/Medium Fabrication Background is a requirement.
- Heavy Fabrication knowledge is advantageous.
- Pipework Experience is desirable.
- Machining knowledge is preferred.
- Experience in fabrication, machining, and welding full assemblies is advantageous.
- Experience of shop floor within engineering shops.
- Material Take Off’s inclusive of proprietary items etc.
- Knowledge of Site Installation Pricing would be beneficial.
- Creating Tender Returns inclusive of final offer letter from standard template.
- Working Knowledge of Excel & Word is a requirement to utilise our pricing documentation.
- Site Visits will be required – Driving License is desirable.
- Good Communication skills as customer communication is a must.
