About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Solihull, who are seeking a Forward Planning Engineer to join their team.

Job Description

As Forward Planning Engineer, your main responsibilities are:

  • Develop logistics projects in line with the Clients' project life cycle from Pre-KO through to Production.
  • In-plant logistics processes, lineside delivery methods, storage media, kitting strategies, goods to person and automated delivery systems.
  • Undertake requirements gathering, data modelling, solution and layout designs in CAD right through to delivery and final project completion.
  • Support development of warehousing and logistics solutions to drive towards benchmark CPU/HPU performance.
  • Data analysis identifying process waste and proposing solutions.

Qualifications / Skills needed

  • Previous experience and background in Manufacturing Logistics.
  • Broad knowledge of logistic engineering solutions, processes, systems and equipment and latest market trends.
  • In-plant logistics processes, lineside delivery methods, storage media, kitting strategies and goods to person and automated delivery systems.
  • Ability to create logistics warehouse and lineside layouts in CAD.
  • Strong analytical skills, data modelling, maintenance and statistical ability.
